| What is a reading?
A reading is really a spiritual counseling session. The reader receives
information about your life and situations in the form of messages, images,
or symbols from higher energies through her psychic abilities. She interprets
this information into advice and impressions which she then shares with you.
A reading is a way to help you with decision making. It may show you options
of which you are unaware, possible consequences of your decisions or actions,
or give you a different perspective on issues or situations. A reading may also
simply verify what you already know.
A reading is not fortune telling. It is not a prediction of the future. It
is a look at probabilities based on the moment and the most likely outcome of
your current situation. The insight gained through a reading may be used by you
for empowerment, self-development, self-awareness, problem solving, or to
determine the direction of your life.
The reader may use a variety of methods or tools to help divine the information.
She may use clairvoyance, channeled messages, tarot cards, or runes. These are just
a few of the tools or methods a reader may use. Every reader has a different style
and way of handling information. How a reader interprets and shares the information
she receives may or may not work for you. This does not mean the reader is not a
good reader, but may simply be that the two of you do not "speak" the same language.

| What is a good reading?
A good reading leads to self-discovery and confirms what you already know
subconsciously. It combines accurate insight with practical advice. A good reading
highlights your gifts and abilities, fosters hope and inspiration, and encourages
self-examination.
It provides guidance and wisdom, not what you should or should not do. A good
reading respects your free will and power to change.
It may clarify an issue, show you what needs attention, or identify obstacles.
A reading may provide strategies to overcome obstacles or may encourage you by giving
you a glimpse of possible outcomes.
A good reading gives you insight into your personal power and shows you where you
are able to change things. A good reader shows you your choices, but does not make
your choices. Always temper what a reader says with your own inner voice and heart.
All decisions are yours and you yourself are responsible for the outcomes.

| When do I need a reading?
Rather than think of yourself as "needing" a reading, think of whether a reading
may help:
- when you need to make a decision and are unable to see
the situation clearly or are unsure of your choices.
- when you feel discouraged and need encouragement that
your choices are leading you in the direction you desire.
- when you feel a situation is stagnated, yet are unsure
what will improve or make the situation worse.
- when you need confirmation.
Always remember, you have the ability to change your life. Use a reading to
guide you, to provide you insight, and then act on the information you gain.

| How often should I get a reading?
How often you get a reading varies by person and by situation. When you are
faced with new choices or your situation changes you may want to consider a
reading. Give yourself time to evaluate and use the insight you receive from a
reading. Be patient and allow time for things to change. Try to be aware whether
you are ready for new insight or whether you need assurance or security.

How do I know if I am reading or
reader dependent?
You may be reading or reader dependent:
- when you feel the need for a reading before making
any decisions, even small, everyday decisions.
- when you get readings about the same question from
a reader or another reader within a few hours or a
few days after the previous reading.
Evaluate whether receiving readings is empowering or whether readings allow you
to avoid or ignore making decisions. Remember, give yourself time to make changes
in your life. A reading is simply information. It will not change your life nor
make something happen.

| How do I choose a reader?
How does a reader present herself, her abilities, her readings? Read about a
reader. If you know others who have had readings from a reader, ask what they
liked and disliked about the reader. Would they recommend the reader? If so, why?
If not, why not?
During the reading, do you feel comfortable? Are you able to ask questions?
If you do not understand something, does she try to explain it another way? Do
you feel you can trust her? Does she avoid unpleasant information and tell you
only what she thinks you want to hear? If she does have to give you unpleasant
information, does she then help you see the positive or how you can change the
situation?

| How do I know a good reader from
a bad reader?
A good reader will tell you if she doesn't know something. She will not make
up a reading. She may ask questions to narrow your focus or if she doesn't
understand information she receives. She will not avoid unpleasant information,
but will also not tell you are doomed or cursed. No ethical reader will
offer to lift a curse, remove a "dark cloud," or give you a spell to make
someone love you, leave you, or to hurt someone.
A good reader will admit she may not be interpreting information correctly.
She will ask you to listen to your own inner self, your own intuition, to trust
yourself. She will never tell you she knows everything, nor will she expect you
to believe everything she says. However, she will ask that you be open and
willing to listen.

| How do I know if I picked the right
reader for me?
Do you feel comfortable with the reader? Does she encourage you? Does she
present the information in a way you can understand? Do you feel empowered by
her readings? Does she feel good to you? Is she easy for you to talk to? Do you
feel you can trust her?
A good reader will be ethical, trustworthy, knowledgeable, practical,
compassionate, and empowering. You are asking a reader for guidance and allowing
her to enter your life. Don't hesitate to use the same criteria to determine
whether a reader is right for you as you would use for a friend, a counselor,
or a health provider.

| What should I expect from a reading?
You should expect to be shown options of which you may or may not be aware,
possible consequences of your decisions or actions, or perspectives on issues
or situations. You should be able to gain insight through a reading that may
be used by you for empowerment, self-development, self-awareness, problem
solving, or to determine the direction of your life. Do not expect fortune
telling, nor a prediction of the future. We will all tell you that your future
is not carved in stone, but you have the ability to change what you dislike
and to create what you desire.
You should expect to be given as much information as the reader receives
to enable you to make your decisions wisely, but she will not make your
decisions. She will not tell you what to do or give you all the answers.

| How do I prepare for a reading?
Be ready to listen. Be open and receptive to what the reader will share
with you. Be aware you may not hear what you want to hear or you may hear
what you do not want to hear. Be aware you may not be ready to hear truth.
Listen without judgment; be willing not to dismiss what is said because it
isn't what you wanted, be prepared to give it time to be proved or disproved.
Be prepared with your question or a list of questions, but take into consideration
the length of your reading. Allow time for each question to be answered and for
yourself to feel comfortable with the answers.

| What are my responsibilities
in a reading?
Your responsibilities are to be prepared, on time, willing, and open-minded.
Try to be concise and organized, with an idea of what you want to ask and discuss.
Be honest with the reader; do not withhold information as a test or attempt to
mislead the reader. If you are uncomfortable sharing certain information, tell
the reader. She will work around the information you are uncomfortable sharing.
Use your own intuition, self awareness, inner voice to determine what feels
right.

| Should I accept all information as fact?
The reader receives information about your life and situations in the form
of cryptic messages, images, or symbols. She interprets this information based
on her own experiences and perception. What means something to her may mean
something different to you. Sometimes she is unable to interpret the information
because it means nothing to her, but it may to you. A reader may simply relay
to you what she gets and ask if it means anything to you.
Accept what feels right to you and set aside what does not. Be aware the
spirit of the interpretation may be correct, even though the interpretation
itself seems wrong.
It is also important to understand a reading is based on "now." The
possibilities given are what is most likely to happen based on the current
actions and direction of those involved in your situation. If you or those
involved alter your actions or direction, the outcome will also be altered.
Were you are given strategies or recommendations on how to change your
behavior or actions to bring about what you desire? If so and you did not
make these changes, more than likely the result of those changes will not
happen. Remember, a reading does not create the future. It does not guarantee
the future. Use it for guidance to create the future you desire.

| How do I know if a reader was accurate?
Was the information given about your past experiences accurate? Was the
reader accurate in the portrayal of you and those involved in your situation?
If the reader was accurate with the "groundwork," the "most likely to occur"
scenario is probably also accurate. Remember though, the outcome may change
because of your decisions and actions or the decisions and actions of others.
